The question...your in Uptown you just watched a very depressing movie...where do you go? Oh, yes it Sunday and the Vikings are playing not only in the Dome but on every tv set in every restaurant and I am not interested in football..where do you go?
There are several restaurants in Uptown but almost all are sports bars..do you see a pattern.
Finally we come upon Amore Victoria...believe it or not there was only 1 tv, ok so it had the game on but it was very quite and there were not too many people watching..score.
The menu reads like one you would see in a diner in Brooklyn..all things to all people.
Kudos to the Happy Hour that lasts all day Sunday in the bar section of the restaurant..if you are watching your pennies it is a pretty good deal.
The Lombardi salad (which can be ordered in half portions)was so good i was beside myself, since i never order salads nor do i eat greens or anything healthy for that matter...the salad was so delish.
On the other hand the next item was the Lasagna...so so, i would say that each layer could use a little bit more sauce it was a just a wee bit dry.
If you are frugal (like me) please do not laugh..this might be the place to go.
Of course i was there with my co-eater..he ordered the tortellini which the last time I checked he was scraping up the last bit of sauce with the delicious bread, so i take that as a good sign.
